Meet The Team

Chris founded Belfast-based Causeway Pictures in 2009. With more than two decades in the screen industry, he develops and produces film and television for UK and international audiences. He co-produced Lie of the Land, winner of Best Irish First Feature at the 2023 Galway Film Fleadh, and worked on the UK production of Netflix’s Senna.

Lauren is a development producer at Causeway Pictures. Her experience spans film, children’s television, animation and production coordination, including development work at JAM Media and a senior production role with HopSkip Studios. She brings creative and practical experience to the development of new screen projects.

Margaret is a Northern Irish producer, director and writer working across short films and features. She co-produced Lie of the Land with Chris Patterson and wrote and directed the short film Fog. Her directing work also includes the comedy short Copy That. Through Causeway Pictures and What’s Next Films, she has helped bring locally rooted stories to festival and international audiences.

Spencer Wright is a screenwriter and creative advisor with a particular focus on horror and genre storytelling. His first feature was Red Mist (2008). He has developed The Ash with Causeway Pictures and leads creative work on its Irish Gothic film and television slate, including The Leprechauns, The Banshee and The Dark Thirst.
